SANSHO. MFG. CO., LTD. is working to reduce GHG emissions generated in our business operations.
SBT certification for small and medium-sized enterprises

SBT (Science Based Target) is a GHG emission reduction target set by a company that is consistent with the standards set by the Paris Agreement, and aims to reduce GHG emissions by 4.2% or more per year. Our company has been certified as a small and medium-sized enterprise version of SBT by the SBT initiative, and using 2022 as the base year by 2030, we aim to reduce by 42% or more Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions. In addition, we will also work on calculating and reducing Scope 3 emissions.

From 2022 to 2030, we will update our GHG emissions (Scope 1 and 2) as necessary. With 2022 as the base year, by 2030 we aim to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by more than 42%.
We currently list annual GHG emissions through 2024.

Examples of initiatives to reduce GHG emissions
Converting purchased electricity into renewable energy
Starting in October 2023, we have switched approximately 90% of the electricity we use to the "Renewable Energy ECO Plan(※)" provided by Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.By utilizing electricity with zero CO2 emissions, we will continue to strive to make our business activities even more environmentally friendly.
*This is a plan to purchase electricity with zero CO2 emissions that has a renewable energy value by adding a non-fossil certificate designated as renewable energy.
