SDGs Initiatives
SANSHO. MFG. CO., LTD. aims to contribute to achieving the SDGs through its business activities.
What are SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)?

SDGs stands for "Sustainable Development Goals" and are international goals adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015 to be achieved by 2030.
Based on the pledge to "leave no one behind," the SDGs consist of 17 goals and 169 targets, including those addressing poverty, health and well-being, education, decent work, and climate change, as an action plan for humanity, the planet, and prosperity.
The SDGs are universal, not only in developing countries but also in developed countries themselves, and are being actively pursued in Japan.
SDGs declaration
With the cooperation of Kyoto Bank, we have created the SDGs Declaration. We will continue to focus on sustainable management. In particular, we will strive to reduce GHG emissions generated by our business activities in order to curb global warming, which is one of the world's most important issues.

Examples of our initiatives
Providing products for renewable energy power generation equipment and eco-cars
We specialize in processing copper, which is one of the metals that easily conducts heat and electricity. Therefore, the base-plates, electrodes, and terminal-pins manufactured by our company are used in power semiconductors for renewable energy power generation facilities such as wind power generation and eco-cars such as electric cars.
By providing our products, we aim to increase the penetration rate of renewable energy power generation facilities and eco-friendly cars not only in Japan but also around the world, thereby improving the global environment.
Employment of people with disabilities
People with physical disabilities account for 9% of our employees. Due to our track record of employing people with disabilities, we have been certified as a "Kyoto Heartful Company" by Kyoto Prefecture.
As mentioned above, our products are essential for improving the global environment in the future, and we want people with disabilities to be involved in improving the global environment and take pride in being an important member of the team.
